I remember seeing a promotion for a bank where they round off your debit card purchases to the highest dollar and deposit the change into a savings account? For example, if I made a purchase at Wal-Mart for a total of $54.36, it would show up on the statement as $55 but the 64 cents is deposited into a savings account. Anyone know the bank?

I heard that comparing auto loans before shopping for a car is a prudent thing to do. But I’ve also heard that every time you apply for a loan your credit rating is negatively affected. What’s the truth?
