I am now a Regions customer and have been really unsatisfied with their services. I have never had so many problems with a bank before. The overdraft fees, the poor customer service, and I just recently found out from a teleservice representative at Regions corporate that the corporate offices gave each bank branch power over the accounts they open. Meaning, if a branch manager decides that he/she doesn’t want to refund overdraft fees regardless of the reason, he/she does not have to. Does anyone reccommend a bank and/or bank account that is student-friendly?

A couple of year s ago. I took out an auto loan and the lender in the country I am living in indexed the loadn against a basket of currencies. Everything seemed to be going fine until recently when the currency of the country I am living in started to depreciate against other currencies. I notice that my new principal took a hit in the upward direct by approximately the same percentage as the decline in the local currency so I now owe more than I did a year ago. If my currency here recovers to previous levels will the principal also go down?

I may have a need to provide payment to a British company. Their requirement is that I pay them in Pounds with a check drawn from a British bank. This will be a one time event, so I’d prefer to not go through the onnerous task of opening a bank account as a US resident with a British bank to just make this one transaction.

He has now been overthrown, but World Bank is still struggling with the corruption issue. So, what solutions can you suggest? I understand that all banks “lend” you money without asking and then charge you for it. I don’t see why they don’t just deny the transaction, but then I think about the millions they would loose.

How much does your bank charge? Do you know the cheapest?
