For a wire transfer from anywhere, ti should take no more than overnight. There are not restrictions but amounts over $10,000 have to be reported. The bank should file the report for you.
Foreign Wires can take up to 5 business days to post. HSBC in Mexico will send the payment order instructions to HSBC in New York. The instructions could have been sent in MXN Pesos or U.S. Dollars. In any case, HSBC Bank in Mexico could have value dated this MT 103 Payment order for up to 5 business days. -They have the right to do that. If you don’t receive the funds after the window time period, then you need to call the sender and have them trace it with HSBC Bank Mexico.
